Well, after a year of ownership I decided to sell up the 400bhp R33 GTS turbo and buy something a lot more sensible, after all, im 25 this month and it's time to grow up etc. The new car...
a 500+bhp GTS
R33 GTS-T, series 2 1996 N reg
Sunroof
engine rebored from 2.5 to 2.66
wiseco pistons
spool con rods
RB26 Crank
Pon Cams
ARP head bolts
HKS 1.2 ml metal head gasket
Nismo 740cc injectors
Nismo fuel pressure reg
Split fire coil packs and greddy 8 plugs
HKS Turbo timer
HKS fuel pump
Greddy TD06 25g turbo with tubular stainless manifold, external wastegate and screamer pipe
N1 oil pump
N1 water pump
Apexi induction filter
Q45 AFM
Rising sun front mount intercooler
OS Giken twin plate clutch
Blitz nur spec-r exhaust
Apexi power FC ecu with hand commander
Apexi AVCR boost controller
HKS idle controller
Greddy timing belt
R34 CAS
Rays 18" sebring vadel wheels with 235 40 on front 265 35 on rear, new falken 452's
Tarox 6 pot brakes and disks (front)
Trust Dowmax springs
Standard shocks (new)
400r front bumper
Nismo rear
nismo clear side repeaters
R32 seats but drivers needs replacing
Tomaie?? short shifter
oil filter re located
polished oil catch tank
polished fuse box cover
has tracker fitted and toad alarm
it has done 9k since re build, all work done by john, car32 on here
turbo and plenum are polished along with a few other bits

It's since had the decals removed...

I did want a white one and im not too keen on the front bumper, but those are things that can be changed with time. I thought it was better to spend the money on a mechanically sound one and then change the looks than vice versa, and this one has had £16k spent on it and done less than 10k miles since the rebuild so im a very happy bunny
If all goes well I will be picking it up in 2 or 3 weeks when im back from my holiday in spain

Apexi power FC ecu with hand commander
Apexi AVCR boost controller
HKS idle controller
Why all 3 if the FC can do them all?

the PFC cant control boost, unless if has the boost control kit. and theres a reason why the AVCR is the best boost controller on the market
looks nice, big set of rota GTR's on it and it will look even better!

Whaaaaaat, why are they so expensive then? when an emerald or omex etc can have boost maps.

As Wrighty said, the PowerFC can control boost, but only with an extra kit. But it isn't brilliant. AVC-R is much better and is the same setup I was using on my RX7.

exchange rate? and theyve discontinued them for certain cars now. Use to get them for like £500-600 but now theyre about 700-800! Theyre brill at their job, just quite old now, theres better technology out there in the ECU world, like you say, boost maps, switchable maps etc etc

Jambo, tbh neither am I (to a certain extent, obviously im a fan of skylines generally!)
In the foreseeable future the car will be staying as it is. I was going to change teh wheels (just going from how they look) but I spoke to the owner and he said that they were £600 each so to be honest I may keep them just because they are lightweight expensive wheels. The front bumper is my main problem so that will be getting changed first even if its just a new bumper being resprayed in the same colour, but if I decide to go through with my plans then im thinking either white or yellow full respray. Either way, I thnk ive got a bargain. The owner has spent over £16k on it, full rebuild etc and the internals are good for 900bhp apparently (although i have no plans on chaning the turbo so i never plan on testing that!!)

sure its got 4 memory settings on the basic one the same as the avcr, but no self learning mode, cant do your injector duty cycle, doenst look like it does in gear control? theres only 2 things that link them are the 4 settings and scramble function. the only advantage would be buying the higher spec one to have 2 more settings.
soo, as i was saying above..
