Did you guys need one when fitting a decat? The bolts im using (standard ones) dont seem to be long enough to fit the decat tight enough so there was a slight air leak... I have used some exhaust sealent to try and make it airtight but its not perfect... im thinking maybe some sort of flange? longer bolts? or some sort of washer to make the spring tighter?

What did you do?

Don't get much tighter than cat flanges.

I'd have thought some liquid rubber sealant and some longer bolts would tighten up the join.

I wouldn't know Ash, the claws can be a bit rough at times.

Just wait til they're going in the catflap, grab the tail and yank them back so the important bits are accessible and the feet/claws are safely tucked away inside the house.

Jobs a good'un.
