it would be cool, but speculation methinks....

tbh, I think he's be better off going to McLaren, as I don't think Brawn will be as competitive next year.

Honda built the 09 car in early 08, well ahead of the game (hence why 08 car was so poop). All they needed was an engine.

I thinkk they will struggle a bit more next year. Red Bulls are the cars to watch out for.

In fact, F1 next year should be good, with the team lineup at Ferrari, McLaren should be back, RBR will be on fire too.

Plus all the new teams coming. Will F1 get more exciting?

I can't wait to see this new cirucit at Abu Dhabi though, gonna be a superb track.

I think McLaren are going to have one of the best cars next year, so would love to see Button go there and partner Hamilton.

I would think he'd have more of a chance at being close to the title again with mclaren but then he'd always be second fiddle to hamilton so maybe he should go to red bull

It was asked when he was in the fail-mobile Honda a few years back if he would consider driving for McLaren and he said he'd only do it if he could be the #1 driver IIRC.

Would either be number one though?

Surely it would be a case of them both racing as equals until such a stage where one is the obvious shout for the title.

Are F1 teams allowed team members of the same nationality? unsure if its happened before.

Would be great if it did happen though

I dont think he'd be as fast as Hamilton either so he isn't going to want to go there and be No.2 like others have said

Agree!
They've been working on the car for months and Ross Brawn knows exactly what he's doing (he was the one that found the loop hole in the rear diffuser specs), and i think they'll be big contenders next year.

But i'm hoping this is just a rumour and that it's just been put out to put the willies up Brawn to get him renewed.

2006 was the last time a team had 2 drivers with the same nationallity

Super Aguri Honda

Takuma Sato : races 1-18
Yuji Ide : races 1-4
Sakon Yamamoto : races 12-18

Franck Montagny(french) also drove races 5-11
