Well what a hecktic week this was!
Called the AA they was busy, then eventually got in contact with them, which then was struggling with the details finding of mine, the police gave me a 30min to get rid of the road.. After calling the AA they was charging me 120 for them to pick it up, trying to convince them that i'm with them they said i need to go to a diff apartment.. God they are so annoying!
After getting in touch and them still cant find my details and bringing up some bullshit saying they need to speak to the policy holder not the named driver so i was screwed, the police then moved my corsa which charged 150pound, then afterwards finding out it was 350pound a day in there, which was VERY overrated.
So i found out the problem, at the traffic lights when i stopped it pulled steering track rod out which then caused the car to go rite into the the curb with popped the tyre then rite into a barrier with the car sticking out in the middle of the traffic lights, lol.
So yeah they ring me up saying, the "Car is a rite off" yet the way i see it i could of got it done for less then 70quid maybe even 50.. so yeh thought we'd get it out until then i ring up the depo place saying my bill will be 850pound to take the car out WTF!? How the! They rip you off big.
So i had no choice, seeing my car get crushed, gets worse, all my valuables was in that car all my modified lights and shit which i was going to be putting on it.. and this was on the way to Peterborough.. lol dont think i'd be going for nething nemore, P&P for me
Yeah.. proper bad luck, the AA sucks, i cant wait to get a diff insurence, had it with them, they are useless.
look how little the damage is, the chassis wasnt even messed up, just the wing and the track rod end, steering shaft and maybe even the steering rack.

Yeah, i cant afford to pay 850 just to get my car out..! They let me take out some stuff but i was walking to pub with mate and there was alot to carry, i asked them to take it out and they said they will not send it and i'd have to go 190 miles just to pick it all up, hence i dont got a car so i'm screwed either way! and as for how much they giving me, 500, and they taking 350 of me due to excess fees, so it leaves me with 150! whoop. Funny thing is, it went for a mot less than a month ago and passed, so i dont know what the fuck has gone wrong, it just desided to slide out the track rod from the left side at stoppin at traffic lights. she was 1996 yet i know loads who have got 1993 and never had problems! Just my luck.

it was a 50mph road, i was doing 45. traffic lights went on red and i stopped like any normal driver and the car decided to go into the curb which made a out blow and hit into the barrier of the traffic lights. Sucks huh! a machanic said i wasnt in fault, the car it self seemed to have a wearing out track rod which caused the problem, hey glad it wasnt on motorway.

Okay let me explain, the track rod end fucked meaning the left wheel isnt connecting to the steering wheel so one wouldnt work, proper punctured aswell, i was going to just get my spare wheel on and bounce as fast, b4 the police came yet the police helicopter spotted us and then 3 police cars came

Sure you weren't trying to get away from the police helicopter, looked up at it, then a cat crossed the road and you had to swerve to miss it and ended up crashing?

Its just strange how they have impounded his car after an accident, normally the police leave it to your own recovery companies (i.e. the insurers) why is that not a sensible question?

I'd hazard a guess at the story posted on here not having much in common with what really happened.

No it's just because you said drive it away = steering was fucked
and you said was it insured = yes as he talks about how shit it was, excess etc.

Insurance companies use rented flats instead of offices, didn't you know
