I've just been looking at some mk 1 golf's, the 3dr 1.3's and 1.4's.

I'm just wondering what kind of prices and mileage should i be looking for as i seen some and they're around 120k+ and still around 1-2k

Anyone got any advice on them?

Also if you've spotted any for sale post them up as im currently scouring through the forums and PH

Or if mk4_boy reads this sell me your car

i would go on condition without a doubt, even if the engine is nearly shot as there engines are so easy to fit (and cost around £50 for a decent 2nd hand one)

could pick up a half decent standard one for £1k or under..

and 120k miles is bugger all, aslong as it runs well and drives well then thats it..

if the price is right then i would consider it bud (even though i wanted to do a few shows in it in the new year)

Cool cars. plus you most likely wont end up loosing any money on them.

they go on forever if looked after well. Mileage aint really a serious issue - it helps; but the chassis is more important

i would of had a gti but the sumps sit very low, so i would be hitting the sump instead of the wishones.. not good)
