On the way back from my fire marshall training I was already late for college... so had to make up the time where I could...
Little to my knowledge there was a van parked along the dual carriageway I seem to remember there being a broken down range rover in front so it was quite obscured
Here's the evidence:

85 in a 70 isn't the end of the world but what am I looking at?
I received a NIP in the post and nothing was defined in the letter...
Thanks chaps..

not bad i picked up a cally turbo with over 250bhp and managed to make it all the way from birmingham to london with no speedo (not what it said in the auction) only to be caught taking a friend out in it later that day on my own road as they had setup one of those insurance/ DVLA hotspots

Can u not do one of those speed awareness courses that usually costs a bit more £ but it saves u taking the points.
U may have to ask for the opportunity to do this though.

Undercover cars have to pull you over and give you a ticket. They can't just drive around taking pictures of speeding cars and send the tickets in the post.

You only get that opportunity up to a certain speed above the limit, but i can't remember what that threshold is...

What is your point?
85mph actual is going to be 90mph+ on an average speedo.. So you take your chances you pay the price.. Just so happens this time he was unlucky and got caught.
