I've managed to get myself in the position of a company van including fuel. Need to find out what sort of tax i will pay on that given the 500 miles commute per week. If anyone can help with advice on that it would be great.

I have 8 - 10k to spend and looking to buy next summer. Insurance is not a massive issue giving 9 years NCB and being an old fart After something quick but not too quick it will pain me to fuel, something that will not lose loads on money in the couple of years ownership.

I know very little about cars so something old is probably not the best idea

I'd look at anything after 2004 i think.

FFS Andrew....lesson required.

Sit!!

Old cars are much much better, more so if you dont want to loose money on it!!

If its sole reason is to drench your gusset at the weekend then bloody hell dont get some dull crap shit dull boring 2004 hatchback.

Get something that tosses children into the air in its wake & make old folk think that death is near!!

Think about it!!

Not sure on the big body kit. Loved that 2.0 Clio Trophy Mark had on here though. I couldn't get the money together when he was selling though

Was thinking something along those lines.

I'd want something rawer to stick a smile on my face at the weekend after doing 500 miles in a van & a 2L clio just wouldnt do it.

Get something a bit crazy, something you normally couldnt run - make the most of having a company van!!!

Fuckit get a westie!!

what about something like this?

Will definitely put a smile on your face, 1.8 will not be bad for insurance and fuel consumption

First thing that sprang to my mind. But it'd have to be a 4.5 0-60 in under 4 seconds... Yes please!

Or 330d with MTEC goodies

One of the best all round cars you can get in my opinion.

40 mpg (maybe more on motorway) spacious, comfortable, quick, handle well, look ideal in all situations (going out with friends, buiness meets etc)
