I know these knew laws are coming in with engine converted cars being illegal blah blah blah but im still looking for insurance for my corsa in the meantime.

Its a 1.4 Sport converted to an XE and from what ive read Adrain Flux are spose to be good for this but when i phoned up they took my details etc... Then asked about the conversion, they asked what engine it was, the power of the engine then said that they wouldnt be able to quote anything less than £3000 third party, does this seem write?

I'm 18 with a years no claims, no accidents and a clean licence.

Cheers.

Id say £3k is a bit excessive but at the same time sounds right.

at your age you will be looking at prices around that if you shopped around you could get it a bit cheaper bit not much #

But then i don't see how some people say they've gotten quotes like £1000 for LET corsa's at 20, and 18 year old with an XE should be nearer that sort of price i would imagine. I got a quote for an astra GSI and it was only £1100

Did you say the Engine came from an Astra GTE?
Rather than a family car cavy? i believe that messes with the quote alot.
