ring up again under a different name and see if you get the same reply. Unless they really are in the meeting cause they are about to fire someone for not doing their job properly

I dont think its asking too much for them to pick up my car, drop off something (decent) for me to use, check the whole brake system & refund me the cost of the brake service (that could have killed me!).

As a minimum tbh.. I'd expect a good will gesture from them on top of that purely because you've gone to them rather than trading standards.

I did phone at 3pm & its only 20 miles away.

When I phoned I asked for the service manager, got through & said im the guy with the failed brakes & have been waiting an hour for a call from you. He then hit jackpot when he said Oh...I know nothing about it.

Fantastic!!

Ah but just wait until its a month or 2 out of warranty & the PS pump decides to throw a sicky after turning a whole 27k miles & to the tune of £800 that they want to fix it & dont want to know to help!!

Didnt it wine like fook for a while before? I know of a few which sounded like a Cooper S and the problem was the broken pump? TBF though colin, I would be fumming, but if its run out of warrenty, its run out of warrenty, so they aint gonna be to fussed. Germans ay

Its only been whining a few weeks, prior to that Jade had been in negotiations to buy a brand new cooper S.

Its out of warranty yes. However 27k miles for a PS pump to go sounds very wrong.....warranty expired aside surely theres a degree of 'fit for purpose over a reasonable amount of time' to be factored in?? As im sure thats how the office of fair trading look at things?? If it had 50k miles then I wouldnt be arsed, well thats a lie I would, something like this should last beyond 100k!!

Please don't . I'll buy you a new BS pump. It's like a PS pump but better, made from titanium and I will deliver it to your door.

If its a bmw, at 27k miles quite a lot would prob be changed, bushes are a service/wear item really only last a few years not like small hatches where you never really need to change them, maybe a squeek at 100k or something.
