I think I am ditching my 1.6 16v engine and fitting a 2.0 8v calibra engine.
I have a friend selling one, fully rebuilt with lightened and balanced crank, new clutch, F16 gearbox, chipped ecu, etc. There is more stuff I can't remeber it all. Full loom and exhaust also.
He claims it is putting out around 160 bhp. ?
Plans are to fit this to my corsa tommorow, he is going to custom weld up some mounts and it should be running by the evening. (It hasn't been out of his calibra long.)
Thoughts guys? Good idea? Realistic bhp figure?

I'm not 100% on the engine code, it's the 2.0 8v from a Calibra that's as much as I know just now.
Not for nowt, fitted for 200 quid.

It is the cavalier 130 engine that he rebuilt.
So is 160 possible?
Thanks

I was considering it as I couldn't get hold of the boy with the 20seh today (he was out all night blazing lol)
The spark plug in the cylinder closest to the timing belt was dripping with a browny oil/water liquid when I took it out, the others were not. Doesn't look good to me so I'm not even sure the 16xe engine will run. It cost me 130 quid but I have not paid for it yet as the boy is out of the country. (luckily I think)
