going to see one for a swap for the cavalier i know rust and rear rose bushes anything else leaky cam covers?

rust, rear arches,bottom of the doors, smokey engines, snapped springs, the usual vauxhall traits

Rust and thats about it.. The back bushes are a cheap fix so wouldnt let them put you off.

jeremy clarkson in the the boot saying vectras are shit?

otherwise good cars imo.

Oil cooler are prone to leaking. You will see sludge in the header tank (can be confused with head gasket) about £100+ for the part and it sits in between the heads. bit of time consuming job to do.

Also egr pipe from egr valve to manifold blow on the join. again to replace it is £55 for the part and another ball ache of a job. but it can just be blanked off with 4 5ps and exhaust paste.

brake pipes rot well on them too .. see if they have been replaced ,, if they havent try and see what they look like . they normally rot near the fuel tank and over the rear subframe , there not that cheap to replace as there abit of a fvcker.

often if its not the egr pipe, its the rear bank manifold where the egr goes in thats cracked. this was the case with mine. could actually get to it to weld it without taking manifold off though which was lucky.

if the engine feels as if it has a flat spot between 3-4k revs, dont worry, this is just how they are
