I'm planning on a new car soon and along with Astra VXR I've been looking at these. How do people rate them? General comments welcome. Cheers

quick cars. sound good. 5 doors. look good. 1.8t engine is very good and gets good mpg driving normally.

They seem to fetch strong money but there're a few 03 examples for around 5-6k.

what you doing with your corsa? my mate has a LCR and the carpet is soaking/damp, the doors seals leak on his.

As said above, they go quite well and are easily tuned.

I wanted one before but insurance was a nono!

That Ibiza is nice. Great torque figure but I'm after something a bit bigger, comfortable and practical. Once my Corsa has been featured it'll be up for sale. As much as I love it, It's a money pit and I need to grow up

Yeah they do! Most people I know with them get 30mpg+

if you dont want a 4 door, S3 are a good option too.

i got a leon fr tdi on a 05 plate. 99% of them leak in threw the doors and boot and running cost are megga money same as my mates cupra r

No comparison to the VXR IMO

If i had the sort of cash for a VXR it would be between that and a Focus ST.For the Leon money i'd rather have a scooby or an R32 Golf.

as above, i drive like a cunt and get 30mpg on 10mile drive.
