Do you even know what you are talking about? They don't do NCAP safety tests at the factory. It's independent from all the car manufacturers, so all cars are tested in the same way

edit, a corsa B aint much different

The designs of these cars were pre-dating some significant ruling regarding crash safety. It's got nothing to do with the country in which the cars manufacturer is based, a lot of Frech cars are some of the safest out there - Peugeot were one of the first companies to introduce new and more recent NCAP safety recommendations.
