fair enough, then how to you chose what modified car to go for?

Gower's right - I could choose possibly hundreds of "standard" (factory produced, but not bottom of the range/low spec) cars that I feel are more desireable than the typical modified car (not including the likes of modified TVRs, etc).

downto personal taste. I used to be into modified cars. But know i see every other corsa with bodykits and big wheels and personally i think they look a tad big boring now.

I once *cought* bought i nova and intended to modify it.

Then came into the VAG world and the cars are so much cleaner without huge kits on.

Im building a concours mk1 as we speek.

I would choose a modified Skoda Octavia RS over a 1.1 Saxo, yes.

I would choose a SevernValley converted Ka with a Puma facelift and 250+ bhp engine over a Corsa 1.2 SXi.

I think that once you find your inner peace with your own car, you truly learn to appreciate others and their cars on their merits.

Most people can afford TVRs and M3s.

They're not unreachable luxury cars like the Pagini Zonda or a Lambo Murcielago. Ok, so they may seem out of the price range of most, but with a little bit of effort you can raise the capital required to have a shiny Tuscan on your driveway.

My girlfriend has a Saxo VTR and it handles real well but drives real sh1t, so even if it's a 1.6 8V. I would rather have my SXI 1.2 16v everyday of the week, just cause it's a nicer drive.
