okay, i am looking at getting a cage for the GSi in the next few months, and after ringing the safety devices dealer, its £630 odd inc. delivery for the 6 point bolt in wit door bars. I have no problem wit that as i know that they are a superb quality cage, but i was thinking there must be somewhere that will do exactly what i want.

so...does anyone know of somewhere that will make a cage, to my spec that is close or equal to the quality of Safety Devices and preferably in the North West area?

Cheers...

What makes you think that your spec is better than one designed by experts?

i dont...i just want some extra bars in various places, without paying a huge amount because the dealer takes another £150-200 over what the cage is worth...

They dont anymore as there isn't a big enough market and regulations in competition has changed..
That is a fact as I phoned omp, sparco and safety devices direct yesterday.
The only way is custom unless you replace the roof skin, bond the glass in or modify a cage to sit lower

OMP 10 point cage
http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=101420
They used to be much cheaper, i'm sure last time I checked it was £350.
There is an omp 6 point on ebay too, starting at £0.99 for far.

i had phone the dealer as SD wont deal direct...found that out when i rang them direct.

They cant get a sunroof version Paul, they dont do them anymore...but yea, they did used to do one.

I've heard a few bad things about OMP cages. I want it to be a good'n. Rather pay a little bit more tbh than try and scimp on it.
