Thats how the garage described my Cav rear ARB earlier today

They also pointed out, its not even for a corsa.

Dont have any direct pictures of it, but its much similar to everyone elses, two bolts (one either end) and two exhaust clamps holding it in the middle.

Knocking from the front drivers wheel - which i thought was where the noise was from.

Almost as if the CV joint had gone or the wheel bearing.

Took it to garage, he told me all the noise was coming from the 'complete and utter bodge of an ARB'.

Came home, ive removed it, the noise APPEARS to have gone.

But im not so sure. The noise has come on in the last few days, the ARB has been there a while

Oh and the reason for not attempting the CV'wheel bearing myself is because id have to undo the suspension to get the hub out and so id have to either guess at my camber set up, or take it back to them and get them to redo it - or get them to give me a quote for doing the whole job...

Mark where the bolt is on the coilover using a scribing tool, or spray paint.

but it's not really an exhaust camp, it's just the 'U' but, with poly bush, and proper arb mount around that

unlike this

compared to this

I also have a whiteline arb fitted, the clamps supplied with it are heavy duty clamps not silly exhaust ones, if fitted correct its as good as from the factory, mine has passed two mot,s with mine fitted, and the examiner was happy with it and my v6 brake set up, well worth fitting as it improved the handling a fair bit.

Ste L, what are they in the first picture? Look like jubilees?

And there's nothing wrong with exhaust clamps. All you need is something to hold the ARB tight to the rear beam, even half decent exhaust clamps would be fine I'd say.
