driving down to a little painted island near my house, indicated to go right, slowed right down and a spotted women not slowing down, so i showed i was going to turn without actually getting in her way, she then spotted me, locked up, smoke everywhere, her face was white and then she started swearing at me, i just said f*ck off and stuck my fingers up, carried on driving thinking f*cking idiot nearly went into me then, pulled on my drive and thought il check the indicator and guess what it was out..

took the lense off and it was just rusty on the connectors so sorted that out there and then..

and i thought it was her fault..

thats why people say check your lights etc on a regualr basis..

i didnt pull in front of her, i could see she wasnt looking at me but i knew i had my indicator on, obviously wasnt aware i had the bulb out, i wasnt going to go infront of her, i just showed i was going right at the island and must have thought i was going to go infront of her and smacked the brakes on..

it clicked normal, like there was nothing wrong..

here we go..

im the red, shes the blue..

i was turning right, i knew nothing different as my indicator was clicking away on the dash etc, i approach slowly as i could see she wasnt stopping, and tbh she didnt even look (driving towards the island like it was a normal road)
but obviously i standard to turn to show i was turning right (i was going slowly, and then basically stopped as i could see she wasnt going to stop), she then spotted me and slammed her brakes on..

you would be on her right anyway so she'd hve had to stop no matter what.

it's the risk you take when people don't indicate for that sort of roundabout.

it's the same design for the road at the top of where my mate lives. every day after work i drop him off and nearly have a smash because people just drive straight over not realising it's a roundabout ( i always indicate aswell ).

We call 'painted islands' mini roundabouts up here. By an island I thought you meant the wee bits of kerb in the middle of two lanes.

Thats a mini-roundabout as north as glasgow and as south as london!

If you wern't indicating, she was perfectly well within her rights to go staright across. I imagine you gave her the shock of her life when you pulled in front of her!

I'd have reacted like you though first of all, and felt really stupid later. Likewise if I was her I'd have been fuming!

but he was actually on her right hand side therefore she should've stopped or at least slowed down when he approached.

we've all done it, it's the risk you take if you see a car coming towards you at a roundabout like that with no signals.

Do you not have the right of way no matter what if you're going straight on on a mini rounabout? Just got a flashback from a driving lesson there telling me that
