Yeah, only you can use it as many times as you like in Forza.

rewind has spoiled the whole concept of the game. ruined it completely.

if you use it or like it your a novice. step away from the games machine.

perhaps in the real game using this may decrease your winnings at the end??

On the track selection screen press Y. You can start a time trial/free run type thing from here as well to set some fast laps or drift scores rather than doing it in a race.

edit - just noticed if you highlight someone in the leaderboard with a sybol under the paperclip column you can race against their ghost.

it needs to. like that poor hiring a driver in forza 2 thing. i dont understand the point. if you cant win the race, practise and try till you can. its gone arcade with this rather than simulator. im more intersted in gran tourismo now. there are enough arcade racers out at the minute so might leave forza alone.

I used the hire driver thing for most of the endurance races in Forza 2, I get bored after 5 laps so ideal for me.

I'm really liking this version of forza

the handling feels much better, fwd cars have lift off oversteer, rwd cars can slide better, hitting objects doesnt spin you round etc...

only had a quickish play...

I've got Porsche Gt3 - 1 min 01 sec. Kurt.

Infact all my times beat my 'cs / xbox live friends'.

Using the rewind feature stops you being able to save your lap time on that stage, whether it be local or on xbox live. I don't see the problem to be honest, if you're only using it in single player, then use it all the fuck you want

Yeh I wasn't that impressed.. although none of the cars you get are particularly good for drifting...

The califonia I was just yanking the hand brake getting it sideways and then powering out...

The porsche being on slicks was very loose, as soon as you start the drift the car wants to spin.

I predict this drifting feature will be SOOOO much better when you can buy cars / buy parts / tune the cars in the real game. You could set up cars to drift so much better than the demo cars

Yeah, was fun but none of the demo cars are too good for drifting.

Anyways, my best Hot Lap in the Porsche R3 car is 1.03.715 so far.

I just can't wait to play this with my own cars that I can tune and tweak

I just feel although subtle changes, the physics are so much better than before. The steering isn't over sensative now, brakes dont instantly lock up, can control the slides better etc... it feels like it actually rewards you for driving properly, i.e. Braking hard in a straight line, coming off the brakes, going into the corner with a little bit of throttle on, increasing the throttle as you pass the apex and exit the bend.

I saw your 1.00.8

It's what spurred me on to try to get a 59

strangely I picked it up and did a few laps... then 48 laps later I realised I'd just spent 50 mins going round and round non stop (standing infront of the tv? ... not seated lol) and decided to have a rest.

Was quite frustrating as different laps I'd do different parts quicker... the 1st corner is a bitch to get right, you have to dab the brake, then slightly get on the throttle and turn in early, hook it up and then get in 4th gear and power out...

The one at the bottom of the first fast downhill section is a pain too, I go down to 3rd gear turn in, then down to 2nd, hug the inside of the corner and ease the power on at the last moment (otherwise understeer into barrier), then into 3rd, sweep through the right, into 4th over the top of the hill, down to 3rd - slight lift and into left hander... then just avoiding the grass into 4th, over to the left, sweep right, back down to 3rd and flick left and power through... into 4th over jump, brake late, down to 2nd turn in and complete the lap.
