Woke up this morning to find some twats had broke into our garage and robbed my KX250, the car was parked infront of the bike, fuck knows how no one has seen or heard them, there is a big 750watt security light on the garage area, naturaly they have made a mess of the car in the process, looks like they have taken it over the bonnet and down the side, the damage is quite minor compared to what I was expecting, luck a handle bar or a foot peg didnt scrape down the full length of the car really, nothing else what so ever was touched including £400 worth of scrap copper that was by the door
and just for reference every single police officer I have spoke to (5 in total) have been nothing short of fantastic
anybody want to guess the bodyshop bill? Im gonna go get some quotes soon, there are many other small marks that Ive not bothered to take pics of, Im guessing they will need to do a full side anyway to get the new wing to blend in

Wow thats actually worse damage than I expected to see.
Maybe look at getting one of those bars that come out the floor infront of the garage door so it cant be bent up? Or a cheap motion detector alarm?

Paid a grand for the bike exactly a year ago this weekend, the damage is bad but considering the gap they got it through they have done ok, Il post a pic up later when I put the car back in, you wont believe the gap.
me and my dad have just been and got aload of angle Iron and got the rivet gun out , we are gonna renforce the back of the door and get some nice new beefey locks for it, just gave the car a wash, bonnet has come up perfect which is quite annoying as I was going to get it sprayed next weekend anyway due to stone chips, needs the wing and bumper sorted, not sure if they will repair them or replace them, need a new abarth headlight too
and on a lighter note the CSI officer has just been back with a new gun for my dad, they found out they go to the same gun club all be it on different nights and he had a gun in need of repair he didnt want so hes popped back with it

fuck sake what a bunch of cunts
looks like new bonnet repair osf wing (blend nsf wing to match bonnet)
replace bonnet scuttle (looks scratched) replace osf light and repair front bumper
if its a straight non-metallic orange may be able just to paint the wings, possibly blend osf door, im gonna guess £800-900 at least

Might sound a stupid question but I know f all about bikes...but do you need a key to start the bike? If not then fair enough they could have rode it away easily but if you do then what....presume they pushed it around the streets then it would need hot wiring at a later date?

that happened to a mate of mine a few years back although luckily he had sold his bike the day before, they still tryed getting the minimoto for compensation though but got rumbled, we then found one of them hiding in a bush in next doors garden... good job for him the police had turned up.
