Browsing the net, looking for back boxes.... which i no NOTHING about, and coming across loads of different makes...

Can people recommend decent makes? Ones to avoid?

magnex are very good, not too loud but quite expensive. sportex seem to be a good all rounder. do you want it loud?

Irmascher backbox would be my choice if you dont want to annoy the neighbours.

yeah ive found a sportex one on ebay thats not bad... i want a bit of noise behind it, but a nice sound .. not to much of a rumble if you know what i mean!

i found this one but dont know if its any good or not...

That ebay one has no mid box so will sound very loud....not good!!

I had a sebring system on my GSi with no mid box & the neighbours started a petition to get me to remove it!!

Stainless supersprint ne if they do one, otherwise a Irmascher one from vauxhall!

The first Ebay link you posted I would avoid like the plague tbh. I don't know that seller but the last time I bought a cheap exhaust off Ebay from a manufacturer I'd never heard of, I spent 9 months trying to get the thing to fit properly and not blow, after that time I gave up, went to Longlife in Leeds, told them what I wanted then sat back whilst they made it and fitted it for me for the same price I'd paid for the one off Ebay that I had to fit myself.

If you do use Longlife or Powerflow tho, I'd make sure you get some recommendations first, they're franchises and work varies massively between different places. I've had mine from Longlife in Leeds for over 2 years now and never had a problem with it, yet I've heard of other places where people have had constant problems from the day they where fitted, so I'd advise a custom exhaust but just do your homework first to make sure you're not disappointed

Piper or supersprint, but i had a sportex race system on my corsa b and it sounded pukka
