Looks like they are inspired by floating discs found on high performance bikes - If they are actually floating discs then they should fade alot less than and provide a better brake when the temps are up

wavey disks, some motorbikes have them, havent got a clue whats good about them, prob just looks.

Floating disks are different, as they can actually move very slightly in and out for better braking as they are on bushes.

^^^ better braking as the brake pads are more evenly clamping the disk, instead of one first then the other.

The more surface area, the less heat build up as there is a bigger heat sink.
