if you got small feet and want to drive something thats quick but if you hit something at 30mph your going to have to be cut out of then go french otherwise stick with the corsa GSi idea..

the head gaskets will continuesly go on the pug and saxo as they are in every sense of the word the same car tbh same engine, box, suspension. they rot and the exhausts fall off lol

I really hope you've owned both of these cars to make them comments, I've never had any of the above problems with any of my 106's.

Fair play I may be lucky with my 106's though, no major problems as yet (touch wood). French cars really arent as bad as people make out, oh and, do not buy a VTR for 1900. Get a VTS if you want a Saxo, and you'll get one cheaper too.

I have never liked 106/saxos and I have driven a fair few.
A mate of mine has gone through about 5 gearboxs on his quicksilver They rattle, feel cheap, they are unreliable and they arent safe.

Corsas, they rattle, feel a bit less cheap, are unreliable and aren't safe.

i do think you have been lucky with the 106's they are notorious for oil leaks and things falling off, but if you get a good one then they seem to stay good and not go up the wall.

true what you say tho VTR is a no no get a VTS better car imop

I waited ages for a good example to come up, I have a folder full of receipts for everything, going as far back as warenty work. It's had a fair amount of money spent on it before me. I have a few niggly problems but most are self inflicted

Both very similar to drive, practically the same car TBH. GTI is nicer looking I think, I'd choose one all day long over a saxo. As you can see I have an 8v XSI, great car and very very fun to drive. You could buy a 16v XSI for around that price that would leave the other 2 behind, depends if you want an older car though.
