Banter time

fair point renault dont have a car in that class but to be fair the monaro as sexy as it is is a a cheverolet v8 with a bolt on charger in a holden chassis, its an amazing car and im not sticking up for renaults as i hate my car more and more these days just saying vauxhall engines in comparisson to the french engines in any era are far less superior in terms of torque, power, and delivery along with chassis and handling capabilities

NA
examples:

90s small hatch

vauxhall
corsa GSi 16v 109bhp
corsa sport 1.6 16v 105bhp, good chassis (it did well up the bwlch :thumbs

French
saxo vts 125bhp incredibly good handling car (i do hate these cars with a passion tho
willams clio 150bhp yet another amazing chassis
peugeot 106 gti 127bhp rated best handling car on top gear years ago

90s medium hatch

Vauxhall
Astra GSi/GTE etc 147bhp not sure on handling and chassis

French
Renault Megane Sport 160bhp very good handling car used in rallies for this reason
Citroen Xsara VTS 160 bhp i really aint got a clue on handling
Peugeot 309 GTi 160bhp incredibly rare and again rallied for good chassis (richard burns)

90s saloon

Vauxhall
Cavalier GSi 147 bhp very good in BTCC

French
Peugeot 405 gti 160bhp aint got a clue on chassis
Renault Laguna v6 190bhp same^
Citroen XM V6 194 bhp ^

do i need to go onto boost?

hmmm I see your point... just a shame they're french.
I don't know, as much as I respect renault for their offerings, ever time I sit in one I can't help feeling like I'm sat in a plasticy bubble... I always wanted a clio as well

im not denying that, they are shit build quality earlier in the range, mine isn too bad. solid ride on coilovers are taking their toll on some of the plastic bits and bushes on the car.

Just been to the gym as it happens trying to get into a routine of it now, as I am gaining but not at a decent enough rate. Arms are getting there, but still can't lift alot. Had a go on the smiths machine today, Just about managed 20kg on that

cool! Keep going with it, i hated it when i first started but once you start seeing the gains you start to enjoy more, and push harder. Becomes a routine then.

I had a text of the delightful Mr. Simes so thought i'd update everyone!

All good here, still got the 1.8 Corsa-C but 28th of October it's getting a power upgrade done by WarrenG it's getting:

Dbilias replica inlet
reprofiled cams
getting induction sorted with vectra diesel intake pipe
Uprated clutch
bilstein shock absorbers
remap

So should be pretty tasty

You got the fabia now I'm assuming Tom? And Nath, i'd love an 80's boost! But not 10odd year old rust lol

Funny you should mention gearboxes, oil leaks and frech cars in the same sentence, my mates clio 1.2 started leaking oil from the gearbox recently lol
