^ lol
They have a massive crack down at the moment on this kind of thing, the reason is the police cars with the reg plate recognition system cant read the plates so it could be hiding a stolen vehicle. Not worth the risk any more tbh.

It wasnt a mistake it was intentional and due to it not being a legal readable plate they done the right thing.
And random stop checks are a great idea as it catches people with no insurance, tax and mot.

How is it a mistake when you're intentionally making the numberplate say something different

I think you mean: slapped with a fine for deliberately having an illegal number plate.
The plate broke the law, the Police are there to uphold the law. What's your issue?
If people hadn't taken the piss for years with how they have their plates made, they wouldn't need to crack down quite so hard.

The police are there to uphold the law which is fair enough but they are the biggest bunch of hipocrites in the world! The biggest organised legal gang in the world I've got a good few stories to tell you about the fuzz that would make your blood boil. Not all officers are bad but the majority are. It's too easy to get fined as a driver these days. Far too much money going from drivers pockets straight into the governments holding accounts. £80 million on speeding offences alone! Fines for everything like brake light out etc And don't get me started on the road tax and 65p in the pound tax for fuel!! Scandalous! That was a rant I'll admit that right now ha!

read things properly before you post next time.
he asked for the plates to be made up with illegal spacing.
i've seen worse around here, with some quite difficult to make out as they've been tampered with so much, but it's done for a reason.

People shouldn't buy crap plates that need moved about then this wouldn't happen.
Although the police are a bunch of cunts, people who buy these plates know they are illegal before they even spend any money so they deserve it.

I regret getting mine, only had it spaced illegally for about a month before being pulled!! Cant be bothered with it now but since Jades went and got one to match makes it even more difficult to part with.
TBH i'd rather display my car as an 05 reg than a 'C' reg
That said at the same time as feeling this way i've got it in my head to buy CO11NJS when it gets released. Maybe ditch the C8LNJ then
