So over the last two days at work we held a performance weekend for the guys on Alfaowner, pretty much we were offering performance upgrades for a special price across the range of Alfas.

We had the 8c in the showroom and had several demo cars with our upgrades for customers to come for a go of to compare against there standard vehicles

primarily I was there to sell parts but during the busy spells I would take customers out for a drive, I'd drive up the road and then swap and let them drive back, our v6 brera prodrive btw is phonominal!! 4k on and you can help but smile, the sound, the power! I want!

Anyway back on topic, a simple looking guy comes in, he's intersted in our 200bhp 147 Q2 Ducati Corse,

This guy is mental! Takes alot to worry me as passenger but I'm sure he's never heard of a clutch! Or even brakes for that matter!

His gear changes were terrible! He'd rev the bollox off it stamp on the Clutch, raunch it into gear and bring his foot up as fast as possible, no feeding the clutch!

Literally every change thuds, he's accelerating at the same time revving crap out of it! He's weaving about trying to test the diff, I'm fearing for my life warning him of upcoming turns and dangers in the road!

An Audi of some sorts was reversing into a driveway, he doesn't brake, keeps careering towards it and swings round it oblivious to anything on coming, there's cyclists and walkers all down this road and he's passing them with litterally cms of clearance

he then has the cheek to ask for a go in our 170bhp Mito

Did he show you a license before you let him drive?

I think its shocking. Ive been on so mny test drives, and not once been asked for a license.

Even at places like avalible car, they just say sign here, you dont have to prove anything

i went with one of my mates when he went to test drive an impreza, in particular a £15k hawkeye.
when he took it out for a test the guy from the dealership asked me if i wanted to have a go, so i told him i would have loved to but was unfrotunately banned at the time. he then said "ah its ok, i wont tell anyone..."

The guy's clearly seen that you're not an R-tard and is willing to give you a drive since you've had a license at some point.

I don't see a massive problem about it, he was just being sound by the sounds of things.

thats fair enough, but there wasnt a chance i was getting behind the wheel of anything while banned, let alone something like that that i'd undoubtedly be tempted to have a play with
