budget is about £1500. But thats for the car not with everthing to get it track ready

Look no further than a VTS. Get a decent one for £1500. A further £500 and you'll have 140ish bhp. Strip absolutely EVERYTHING and you'll have a silly 180+bhp/tonne.

or even not to that extreme you can pick up an 8v turbo cheap enough that will drop right in, cam,management and t3 should see you good power
