What's the law on having them on? Is it something like less than 25% visibility?
I'm getting fed up of seeing people driving round with them on in clear conditions! No it's not cool!
Where did this concensus even start?
Driving home along the motorway there were several offenders, flashing my foglights doesn't seem to convey my point.
Does anyone else get annoyed by it?
Who here drives with them on? Why?

i saw a mk1 focus last night with both headlight bulbs out, 1 sidelight bulb out and just his front fogs and 1 sidelight on
why can't people understand you look like a berk if you drive with your ''driving lamps'' on.

If I had fogs I'd stick blue bulbs in for show (H). It's when visibility is less than 100 metres I believe. Loads of people keep them on though!

I'm not sure, but I think they are allowed when it raining also?
The law, as presented by The Highway Code, states that front and rear fog lights must not be used unless visibility is seriously reduced - which generally means when you cannot see further than 100 metres (328 feet) - and that they must be switched off once the visibility improves.
Using rear fog lights when visibility is greater than 100 metres can mask the brake lights and dazzle those drivers following, thus increasing the risk of a rear-end collision rather than reducing it.

I make a point of always flashing people with their fog lights on inappropriately if there's nobody in front of me, as I don't want them to think I'm flashing them and being a gay. They don't usually turn them off but I just hope that I have annoyed them in some way
Always seeing people driving round with their sidelights and fog lights on WHY?
I saw someone a couple of weeks ago at about 1pm on a very bright sunny day with their headlights and fog lights on. Wanted to give them a knuckle sandwich tbh

depends if they have xenons and standard fog bulbs like mine has. looks so shite with a nice purple/blue headlight and a bright yellow foglight.

Rear fogs on in really wet, rainy, spray conditions pisses me off, because it just glares like fook.
Fronts never really bother me. Probably because my car is on stilts though

Good question tbh. Incorrectly aligned lights can be as bad as having main beams on. My lights need aligning since lowering and changing a bulb so one of them points down and the other up a bit Just have the adjustment switch thingy on 1 to keep the high one down enough for now

had the samething the other night, think it was a black range rover behind me with it side lights on which were tiny and round along with his fogs on, it was 4 tiny little lights coming off it, couldnt make heads or tails what is was until it went past me.
