Nice little touches

I actually like the wheels as well now! Can't wait to see it loooow...

Are you going to be putting loads into this to make it a possible trophy winner or planning on selling 6 months or so down the line?

yer i agree about the dish on the front, yu can get them in 7j all round, 7j front 8j rear (what ive got) or 8j all round..

there my first dish wheels and first mk1 obviously, so once i get used to it and know it inside out and what i can get away with i plan to go around 9j all round..

there tecknix or something from hottuning, hottuning used to make the raceland ones but they wasnt that good so stopped making them and now making new ones (tecknix) ive only heard good things about them to be honest for the money..

and mark if it was a different colour ie black, then i would do the surround ont he grill red, but it doesnt make much different with the car being red as it just blends in, in all fairness..

cant wait to get the coilovers fitted tomorrow and wind them down, also going back to my local custom exhaust place to have something else done to the exhaust friday i hope..

A GTi grille with chrome bit instead of red would be good.

Like this:

Then the bumpers with chrome strips

Thats what I would do anyway

update time..

got my new topmounts (as there was no point fitting the new coilovers with nakerd old ones, as the bearings had loads of play)

and i got up to this..

got to my mates garage at around 6pm and cracked on with a few things, pictures do the talking..

fitting the coilovers..

then put it on the four poster to do the tracking..

we was there from 6-11pm as we did a few more things..

painted the driver badge on the rear as it was faded..

rear tyres wer soooo close to the arch so we knocked up the rear arch lip where it was catching, and trimmed the plastic arch to suite, got quite abit more clearance from it and looks neat..

also fitted the other 'new' exhaust rubber in the middle, turned 2 exhaust clamps round, and chopped off part of an exhaust hanger, all in aid to get more clearance underneath..

THE END RESULT...

hope you like guys..
