2 mates have asked me to sort out a way of mounting their water/meth tanks, which are going in the boot.
This is the tank in question
It will have a pick up point on the bottom so will need to be raised up an inch or so.
Any ideas of how to mount it? Going into a car stripped bare so can't be attached to carpet, seats, etc.

Have it raised on metal brackets, 2 metal straps over the tank and attached to boot floor. Job done.

Ideally some sort of secure metal mount bolted to the body.

Two metal straps over the top with holes in to interface with the dimples in the top of the tank. Have these straps bolt down to the boot floor and cover the insides of the straps with some rubber matting. You could also make a rubber matting base for the tank to sit on.

Hmm, will have to see what my mate can knock up out of some metal then, I was thinking of a mdf base, with some legs to raise it up, then heavy duty velcro to hold it in

How big is it?
Large battery box that bolts/welds onto the floor?
I would be using more then velcro, heavy duty or not, to hold that in.

You've not really got a proper way to attach the velcro to the tank either. The self adhesive stuff wont stick to that tank; especially after you have spilled some methanol down the side of it and melted the glue.

The tank is 8"x11" and 8" high. I saw some velcro which was rated at 7.5kg for 50mm length or something, which would do the job.
Is anyone on here running meth injection?

The velcro may be rated at that, but what happens if you roll / crash?
Sure the foeces will be greather than 7.5kg?
