Got the astra last week and had springs and a chip ordered for it.
Everything arrived yesterday so got it all on today, also put non dealer plates on and de-badged the back of it and just left the CDTi badge..
Really happy how its turned out, opinions welcome. Oh 200bhp is good fun!

I like that, alot.
Is it the 1.7 or 1.9?
Had a 1.7 hire car & the turbo died, apparently a common problem?

Not sure i would have left the CDTI badge on, and the chrome front grills always seem to look nasty for some reason
Ride Height looks spot on though

Its a 150 1.9 mantamark.. Should be around the 200bhp mark with the chip now.
Phil W i know what you mean but to do anything to it would make it look like a pre-facelift. The stripes on the lower grill are actually just silver, only the surround is chrome look.
OJC, cheers, will have to wait and see if you were right about the eibachs being a bad choice.

I dont dislike the colour, just that my gf's old car was the same colour and I thought it looked boring.. Much prefer it on the astra especially now that its off its stilts..
Glad I did the suspension today because some monkey hadn't taken the transport blocks off the front springs from new. So it had done 7k with very little suspension at the front, at least the shockies havent had a hard life..
Mark M yeh it just plugs in with a t piece of wiring then to the box. Quality of the wiring and the box looks better than the original stuff.

Very, trying to not be too rough with it because it just digs in and I dont want the box parting with the engine..
Had it out in the damp with the esp off and it was trying to spin all the way through 3rd..

I take it it doesn't have to be wired in then?
Can you take a pic of where it goes?

Liking that. Light smoke on the windows and some subtle body colour details (boot strip and front grille) and your onto a winner

I'll get one later for you.. The wiring just sits under the plastic engine cover and ive got the box underneath my battery bag.

Eibachs aren't a bad choice, just the DAP-R's are developed with the state of this countries roads in mind so are move forgiving on rough roads.

if its anyhting like the one of mine it just had bosch connections
Unplug the original bosch connector and plug into the box
Then from box into the common rail and job done
