I had a 52 reg 2.2 and loved it, i put 70k on it in the 3 years I owned it and only changed the camchain at 60k due to me getting worried by horror stories and I changed the gearbox (f23) once after my mate mashed the syncro in 4th playing on a runway, other than that it was excellent with no problems at all.

Something like the silver one half way down, seems good value for money to me? In the market for a car in november mainly to do the trip to work and back (lots of motorway miles) thinking something like this might be better than a 1.4 corsa or similar? They still look pretty decent imo, are they prone to anything like gear boxes or anything, given the miles on the ones i'd be looking at would be interested to know what is liklely to need replacing?
