Its looked brand new. Had at least 19" wheels, and two exhausts out the back in the middle. The damn things made my 6x4's look like 5p coins, they were huge.
It was American, but UK registered. Sounded like a big V8 under the bonnet.
One tried it on today on the bike, and it nearly bloody kept up!!!!!!!! It was definatly slower, but it wasn't slow by any means. Would have wiped the floor with the VXR.
Anyone know what it could be?

Most likely a jeep grand cherokee srt-8. We get them in time to time at work. 6.1 v8, roughly 450bhp.

The fastest Yank truck type thing I can think of is the GMC Cyclone and Typhoon. They aren't new, but christ they're rapid.
They came out about 1991 and they aren't a V8 but a turbo charged straight six and do the 60 sprint in 4.8 seconds if I remember correctly Daimo.
Not sure how long they made them for.
The Ford Lightning is fairly quick too, as is the 8 litre V10 Ram.

Yeah theres a youtube vid of one of those Sl merc jobbies racing one fo the SRT8's. The AMG is quicker, tbh, it wouldn't be far behined me!!! Tad worrying that a barge can nearly keep up
That SRT stops pretty quickly, 70mph in 125ft or something mad!!!
£3600 Vs £50,000 though still But didn't realise SUV's could be so bloody quick these days. Remember the Ford lightning jobbies, they were no slouches either.
I could see the fuel vapourising out the exhaust though everytime he touched the throttle ha ha
