Decided my knife and fork needed more than the usual rinse under the hot tap.

Time to get serious and get them really clean for tonight's Chinese.

Started with a 1:3 of water and fairy liquid in a "squeezy bottle". This was shaken for 4 seconds

Applied to the knife and fork at room temperature and left to dwell for about 15 seconds. As you can see, it is the green snow foam method.

Rinsed at hot tap temperature. as you can see from this before pic, still evidence of gravy.

Next up was some agitation with a 3M scotchpad. First in clockwise, then in a counter-clockwise motion.

After a final rinse under the hot tap, this time left to run a bit longer to get hotter.

And dried using super absorbent Kimwipe 'blue'

Looking good, time for the obligatory 'reflection shot'

I'm pleased with the result and really looking forward to using them tonight on the duck in plum sauce with chips.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
