I know nothing about them.

What do i expect to be paying for a decent one
How do i use it (READ THE BOX I KNOW)

I have seen In Blukoo's detailing threads that there is some spray being used too? any pointers.

Halfords be a good bet or On-Line?

Thanks Karlos

There are various grades of clay - a mild to medium is fine for most people. The agressive ones are usually only used to remove overspray etc and will leave marring (scratches) that usually require machine polishing to remove.

There are various ones on the market - a lot of people will use the Megs one available from Halfords. All the online detailing supply sites also sell them. The cheaper poly clay ones are fine for most applications. I also sell one

You need to use a "lube" with the clay to cut down on the friction and marring - spray the lube onto a panel and work the clay bar in circular or straight line motions. You will hear it scraping the surface - this is it removing contaminants off the surface. Once the noise dies down that part of the panel is now clean. You will also feel a noticeable difference - that bit will be smooth / slippery. Work in sections at a time and fold the clay regularly - you'll see it gets dirty quickly. If you drop the clay bar, bin it!

As I say I sell clay lube, quick detailer (which can also be used) and clay bars if you get stuck
