Yep and now they take photo and email it to the DVLA. The DVLA will write to you within 28 days and if you don't reply with photographic evidence the plate is changed to a legal one your car will be deregistered on the 29th day. Causing all kinds of grief, insurance, tax, mot etc...

I know loads of people who have small plates and only 1 has got a fine but that was cause he was being a badger to the Copper. I've had small plates on my bike for 4 years and never even been mentioned.

It's £60 FFS
No points as it's a non endorsable offence.

Went up early July

Why does that make you angry?

YOu should always wear a seatbelt and numberplates are part of UK law?

I bet you got no points though. I think Alex is incorrect and should be in a position to know better . Still after speaking with 2 sets of traffic officers, getting different stories and they didn't know what to do with the the ticket I already had, it doesn't surprise me. One guy said I had 7 days to post it off or I'll be in trouble. The back of the VDRS said 14

What you bought is 'L10 UCD' not 'L10U C D' as you have on your plate. Incorrectly spaced
