according to the owner anyway, was browsing as usual and came by this ad. All im thinking is either its stolen/ dodgy or the dealer realised this guy is about as thick as porridge.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250475154199&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I sent a general question assuming he had made a mistake in his listing about it being supercharged and got this response:

quote:
Hi

Yes the viechel is turbo supercharged and yes that is standard it is corsa vxr turbo supercharged that is what main dealer has told me it is 230 tort and 198 brake horse power that is standard

Many thanks james

You are correct in some respect however due to his poor english i think he is suggesting power output on his is 230 where as a standard one would be 198

If it had a supercharger, it'd be running more than 198bhp when the book figure iirc is 192bhp.

...eh? i've not ever seen that written on any spec or sales sheets. Anywhere.

Thats contradictory, due to the nature of how each of them is powered...and so, defined.

Bi-charged would be turbo-supercharged...

A supercharger is simply something that attaches to an engine to force air into it to allow it to burn more fuel. A turbo supercharger is one which is powered by a turbine, a belt driver super charger is one which is powered by a belt. It just so happens that people call turbo superchargers turbos for short and supercharger is the phrase used for a belt driver supercharger.

An engine with both a supercharger and a turbo can also be described as being compound charged.

Turbocharger, Supercharger, fit whichever you want.

A Turbo Supercharger is an old fashioned name, mainly used in respect of early flight.
