It only needed wider tyres to be as good as the Golf.

And perhaps a stiffer chassis, that seemed to be a a problem with the MK2 & MK3s, mate had a MK3 1.4 8V with a XE in it and it was bad

I would happily have any mk1 3 dr, any engine as long as it wasnt rotten

I love my GTE, 7J wheels with koni suspension and its such a different vehicle.

Anyone got a rough idea of 0-60mph time for an XE corsa (standard...well exhaust, air filter nothing special)?

I love my GTE. Put it on the weigh bridge and its the same weight as a red top corsa - 1000kg
