Anyone had any experience with the vectra vxr yet?

Going to look at one tomorrow, silver with the 19" wheels.

Hoping its going to be pretty good, i know the car got slated on top gear but seriously, i dont think ill be trying to go round a track in it

this ones going for £9495 which i think is quite reasonable for an 06 plate...

although maybe a problem to sell in a few years

Lovely cars, silver would be my last choice though. They are extremely cheap now. Look for extras like afl, xenons, sensors etc

Saw that one aswell... The £400 tax puts me right off buying one.. Other than that there a good fun car.

theyre pretty quick but really dont feel like it. absolutely hammer the juice though. theyre a shade quicker than the astra vxr, in a bigger car with more comfort.

edit, should say the later ones had a fair few revisions to it and more power aswell. without pulling the fuse, you cant actually knock traction control off and it does bog it down quite a bit.

Mate was all set to buy this. Signed for etc provided they would sort out a wheel refurb and the issue with it hesitating between 3-4k.

They replaced sensors and he cancelled the sale after being left waiting for ages after being told they were waiting for a new ecu for it.

IF its that one of course.

thats the one mate, i take it theres a few problems with it then?

what did he think of it? condition wise,
my mate is a salesmen with a.clark and hes gona get it brought over to c.bank for me, providing its still there tomorrow when hes back at work,

did it get a wheel refurb then?

Saw the new ones for £13988 but i wasnt preferred to spend that much on a vectra tbh,

Was it at the Fiat dealership on Renfrew Road ?

It started there then was possibly sent to phoenix vauxhall in Linwood.

It all went on for about 4 weeks mate , be wary.

The wheel refurb hadnt been done when he last saw it.

Front bumper appeared a different shade to the rest of the car but im led to believe this is a common problem with new silver vauxhalls as the paint on the plastic comes up different to that on metal.

Arnold clarks doing pre-reg'd Saloons and estates from 13998, almost half price!!

Similar deal to Steve got with the VXR8, people must not be buying them anymore!! Possibly will see an end to huge engine cars?

I was having a look at the 14k ones in Arnold Clark, I'd have one if they didn't cost a fortune to run and if I didn't know they'll be worth 5k this time next year.

Get a later one that has the revised suspension and ESP, supposed to be much much better car.

EVO loved the one they had on long term test.

ive read great things about them, inccluding the handling. Aparently a dud seller though, no market for them.

Id own one, look fantastic in black or red.

i have driven stoke to manchester and back, straight line power is ridiculous. for the money, i cant think of anything that would come close.

handling in corners is ok, nothing that a better spring setup wouldnt fix though.

for information purposes, i blitzed £90 of fuel going there and back, which is about 80 miles round trip.
