Had to bribe the buggering RAC man with money to get me home cause he said it was too low, he complained he couldn't get his fingers in my front arches and couldn't fit the trolley jack underneath my car so he didn't want anything to do with it ha ha !
Also what gearbox will i need for my X16XE? The bastards cracked

No i stood on the jack he wasnt happy but it got it under and then he said he wouldnt be able to tow it home, i were 30 mile from homer and it were 8pm so he couldnt be arsed really, then eventually a tenner was enough to get me home, best thing about it is im not even with the rac i got a mate round with an rac card he only realised when he got me back

Well if he has the right policy, you can do this.

Depending on how he towed you it can be a nightmare with lowered stuff. I drive for green flag and my van is a pain to get lowered stuff on the back of it. End of the day he probably didnt want blamed for damaging it..

I am a member of the AA, if a mate breaks down and i am in the car then i am covered to get his car towed / fixed etc.
If your mate has the same on his policy which i would expect then you are well within your right to be towed / fixed whatever.
If that is the case and you had to still bribe him then i would go to town with RAC.
