My brother's considering NoS, but I think it'll be a little safer on a 850 T5R. Those engines are so over-engineered for their designed output...

Agree with the above. There will always be people that have problems with it but there are also loads of people that have had no problems with it. As far as I can see if it is set up correctly and the engine is strengthened to cope with it and you also don't go for stupidly big jets I can't see there being any problems.

I have a kit sitting at home now that was meant to be fitted on Saturday but the geeza meant to be fitting it seemed to be all mouth as he couldn't see how to fit it with my current set-up so I thought fcuk that you ain't touching my engine!!!

Am researching good places to get it fitted now and hopefully will get it fitted next weekend. The nos bottle will only be in my car when I go to Santa Pod so will only be used say once or twice every 3 months or so. So shouldn't be too expensive and reliability shouldn't be too bad!

Wouldn't happen cos like I said it wouldn't be in the car unless I was going to Santa Pod. If it was in the car all the time the temptation would be too strong.

people will mod there cars and add another 50+bhp onto it without any internal strengehting and drive it quiet happily but as soon as some1 mentions 50bhp nitrous automatically there engine is going to blow up. hmmm go figure.

it's not as clear cut as that. if you change cams head etc etc to get the extra 50 bhp the parts you would have to buy would be suited to that sort of power and the increase would be progressive across the rev range. however if you have a 1.2 standard engine and you stick 50bhp jets without a controller then as soon as you hit that button your doubling the starin on the engine and any dodge parts or seals with enevitable blow or break.
