A friend of mine's mate had a S1 pug 106 rallye who he had specced pretty damn high was in this contest today but sadly crashed and killed a spectator

Mild spec of car:
Peugeot 106 S1
Honda Civic 1.6 engine (190BHP standard)
suspension was like 1K a corner

And absolutely loads more but i don't know exactly, but the car was absolutely immense!

Heres the news footage:

Thought i'd share it with you all

MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS. FFS. It's a risk you take, I feel sorry for the guy and family but it happens.

The car was fully specced up in fairness and he is a good driver, but even then it can happen at anytime. He's a good guy in fairness even had his own company for rally things about to launch, though not 100% whats gonna happen now.

I think his full project is on the 106owners or the rallye site.

Yeah think your right, it prob would be covered by insurance.

I'm not 100% but isn't there like a disclosure about the fact it's a rally and things can't be held responsible etc?

Bad news but you don't need a Police investigation to tell you it's an unfortunate accident. My thoughts are with those who have lost someone today and with the guys in the car who must feel pretty bad.

Sad news indeed

Bad times.

Dangers of motorsport though. Even more so with rallying than any other. People stand so close to the action with no protection its bound to happen.
