I'm sitting at 92mph at 3000rpm in 5th gear.

Probably 95 ish.

Astra does about 2200 at 70 I think.

Corsa B 12v is exactly 'half' the revs. So 70mph is 3.5krpm etc.

Nah mate, was driving my Dad's V8. Trust me, you'll be in the first handfull of people to find out the moment it turns a wheel in anger again. In fact, you'll know in advance sir.

You'll probably hear me as I head to the highlands to have a whiney, belt driven, licence losing thing installed.

The Pug doesn't actually have a 5th gear and if I tried to put it in 4th before the engine was at near china syndrome rpm, it would just grind to a halt and pull a sarcastic face at me. Or slap me.

well mine does 124mph in 4th at 6000rpm odd (dyno figures) so 5th 90-100mph
