Methinks ill go to a dealer and get something on finance, Im fed up of working on cars now

Budget, say no more than £10k.

Been looking at Mk5 Astras, CDTI 150 versions.

Insurance can be a killer for me, so nothing extreme.

Astra will feel like a boat after 106 so I suggest something inbetween.

Clio 172?

You will struggle to get a nearly new low mileage Astra CDTI 150 with XP. Especially the sports hatch model.

There are some 5 doors about though. I used to have the 5 door and it was a great car.

It wouldnt be staying too standard, lowered maybe, but then the warranty would be void.

Wouldnt mind a 197 actually, will see what the insurance says.

Group 15, cant see it happening.

Chris you won't keep it standard

Maybe have a look around for the rare 1.6 16v Turbo model, 180bhp.

Worth a look.

The idea of the astra remapped is appealing though, 200bhp and 320ft/lb of torque, mmm.

pretty much what i wanted to say really!

i was sick and tired of repairing my first car, but i was bored having my corsa as it didn't break and i had no money to mod it.. i'd only buy a new-ish car if i had lots of miles to do everyday and had a garage or someting for a project car.

Got my Astra SRi 150 for £6.5k from a stealers. Bit of a bargain i think, especially since they gave 3 months wareenty and then within 2 months needed over a grands worth of work doing to it.

I want to get mine up to 200bhp, but just keep putting it off.

Yes DTUK make them. They do 3 i think. Or you can get a remap, but its more expensive for the same power. But potentially alot safer i think.
