yeah you can, there was a carbon fibre one in the forsale section last week, and i have din sized plates that are about 10mm think and can hold 1,2 or 3 gauges, there machines so the gauge can sit flush

i replaced the std radio with a home made fake cardboard one. looks great.

i got a handfull of these off stu from astra sport and had one in my corsa gsi, sits in pretty snug as well
