Sister has an SLK and it was involved in a smash, never been right since then and kept leaking destroying central locking motors. After a long battle with the insurance company they eventually agreed to get Mercedes to repair it rather than the substandard bodyshop who did it before... so after teasing her about the smart car she will get as a courtesey car...
She got one of these
CLK350 with AMG exhaust and wheels
Naturally i stole the keys wherever possible and LOVED driving it. It made my M3 feel about 100years old and as refined as a Nova. Its solid, smooth and allthough no sports car, it "felt" much quicker than the M3 does, due to the amount of torque and lack of revs needed... Drove it to Leicester and back was amazingly comfy.
Anyway a few pics:

Forgot to get interior pics, and apologies for quality it was taken on my phone.

I don't want to go all Nic Barnes on yo' ass, but not a fan. Sorry.
I used to love the old CLK's, but then something happened and for some reason they no longer appeal to me. Same with the new ones.
(unless its a Black Series).

I'm sure it is, and i'd probably love to cruise around in one, but i'd never own one.
I assume its a 3.5 V8?

M3 should thrash it. Not a bad car though, my neighbour has a CLK500 that sounds quite nice when they drive off.

Yeah no doubt the M3 would rape it in a straight line, i meant it "feels" faster, i.e theres a shitload of torque low down, but nothing top end. So you dont need much effort to get it zipping along, nice car to drive around town. Whereas the M3 needs revving to feel fast....
I was suprised to learn its a V6

Last time it went in for a service it ended up costing the far side of a grand. It was a major service but she only has the 200 engine
Same wheels as that one but its grey.

I used to co-own a C240 elegance with my dad old Sreg one and that was like a "cheap" mercedes with a poo interior and didnt even have leather. It cost £1k to have a regular service
Was sold swiftly afterwards
