As you may of know... i had a vw mk2 Golf gti16v. Awesome cars but the whole VW scene crap thing really wernt me. And thus i needed to get back into the vauxhall fold.
This was her at her best not long ago:

Anyway was sold; and there was only really one car i personally wanted after that. A boyhood fav of mine- white mk2 astra gte... but had to be a minter with low mileage. shame that 99% of them are ragged/wrecked and high milers now.
However i spotted one for sale on pheads... in all honesty was slightly dissapointed it was an 8v.. but the condition of it made up for that. its in amazing condition- looks new and only done around 55k miles. and only 10k miles in the last 10years I cant fault it in anyway.
Plus a pretty cool plate. **VDS (vauxhall dealer special) And with some really good choice mods allready.
Anyway bought it, aswell as a 1l corsa for a daily. the astra will be stored as not that ideal for my line of work- and used sparingly

Overall not as fast as Golf... but so much better in every other department- corners, how it feels, more lower down torque, and the look. Even though the golf was only 3years older- it seemed ancient compared to the gte.

Plans- Basically keep it in tip top condition. But allready got some 40mm springs to slightly lower it. even tempted to try some standard 6j BBS RM wheels on it- but may ruin the look i feel.
O and a LET at a later date.
