a friend of mine has just bought a glanza turbo from WRCsales in Bradford west yorkshire, and hes adamant that it will beat a corsa redtop c20xe and a 106 gti with cams, quickshift and minor headwork :S
im not sure what to belive, i mean hw knows his cars and all, but ive heard a lot of threads like these redtop v 106 gti and so on, does torque realy beat all? e.g up to 100mph redtop and 106 are pretty even so ive heard, but after the redtop wud pull away lol, now the glanza is only a 1.3 16v turbo so it wont have any torque will it lol??

If its standard,an XE corsa shouldnt have any hassle shaking it off,if its tuned then itl be a bit harder(depending on the state of tune).

Also if the boost limiter is removed in first it'll be closer still! If all three were side by side, the XE will be just ahead of the Glanza, and the GTi miles back if someone's just bunged cams into it  But if it was set up properly, it'd stick with both til about 90, then the XE will streak ahead of that, and slowly away from the Glanza!

Mates Glanza has a Blitz exhaust, filter and BOV, and couldn't touch my XE off the lights and certainly not on the motorways.

mates glanza had few bits done and was never near me xe.would say the glanza was probly over all a better car though.to mine anyway not over some corsa's on this forum.

mate of mine had a glanza and another had a xe corsa, both were standard (no work done internally) and they were pretty much neck and neck until the 90mph mark then the corsa would always pull away,
wouldnt rate the pug gti against either of them tbh but then again ive never driven one,
