I've got Vectra sri 4 stud wheels getting refurbed to go on the corsa and they need tyres. So i was wondering if r888's will give enough clearence as it's lowered about 60mm.

The car below looks like it has some form of track tyres - is the owner on here to give advice? Or does anyone else have a similar set up?

Are those wheels ET49?

Shouldn't have any problems if they are...

What profile R888's you looking at?

ET 44 iirc. Would have to be 195/50 R16. Might just get some 15" and put some r888's on them for the summer and use F1's on the 16's for now.

Might just get a small amount of fouling on the arches at that I would think, 15's sounds like the best idea...

They will catch, quite a fair bit. R888s have really square side walls.

Thought they would, i'll stick them on some 15's for summer time. Probably not much difference to F1's/T1-s etc. in this weather anyway. Cheers lads

catch a hell of a lot. need the front end to be raised up. catch on full lock. catch on the inner arch trim where the carbon canister is. the sticky out bit for that catches. catch on the arch trim etc etc etc etc.

theyre a lot wider than a normal 195 as adam b says theyre a square sidewall. sadly they dont do 45's. only 50's.

for preformance tyres like 888's get some spare 15" wheels. The price of 16's over 15's is quite alot when you start going through them

yeah, 16's were about 96 and 15'd about 60 last time i checked.

tbh, i find the yoko a048r's far better. personal opinion maybe.

the car in the pic is mine, the tyres are 195/50/16. yoko a048 medium compound. the above pic is as low as you can go with a 50 profile tyres. takes a little modding tho. with toyo 195/55/16 your car will be like a monster truck. far easyer to go down to a 15", thats what i'v done now.

pic below is the best pic i'v got of the tyres fitted, hope that helps.
