As the title suggests, I can get my hand on an 03 plate Seat Leon Cupra R in nice condition with full service history for ..................£3500 which I think is pretty cheap. However, it does have 121,000 miles on the clock.

What does everyone think? Has any1 owned 1 of them and what are they like. What do they compare to in striaght line speed??

Thanks

Sam

Is that the 225hp one? If so same speed as a S3 (well a tad quicker)

Nice cars, £3500 is very cheap though

It's the 225 version. I did have a Ibiza Cupra with a 120k and I must be honest it never missed a beat. I just wondered with these being more 'tuned' that they may not last aslong.

Just check the usual things like smoke etc when going to look at it. Try and check the bushes etc aswell as they're prone to perishing.

Engines are generally sound with high miles though

Make sure it's had it's 2nd cam belt change at 120,000 otherwise it will cost you up to £350 on top of the service to get this done.

Engine should be fine but as others have said check bushes, linkages, suspension and springs if possible. Tis cheap though.

Plenty of info to be had on seatcupra.net also
