Im wanting to get ideas for something for weekends fast road use, possibly track use too if I get into it.
A kit car type thing maybe. I dont know where this has come from but I feel like I need this.
I'd love a Noble M12 as a 2nd car but there too expensive to consider just now.
Ive got a vision of 2 seats, harnesses & no roof.
What could fill the void?

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

£1k service every 6k miles.................just like owning an Evo then
If I waited 18 months I could afford to buy/run one no bother. Its an option tbh.

Yeah built from a kit. Cost £6.5k for the bits and took 6 years but really it was about 18 months of building.
Best bet though is one of these

Building it is great fun yeah, Mine was one of the kits that involve ALOT of fettling to get panels fitting right and wasn't designed for an XE so I had to do a lot of pissing about.
I was in the RAF while I built mine so I could go away for 6 months and not get chance to touch it.
You can build a westie in 6, 12 hour days as they are like a tamiya car!
But come at a price, expect no less than £13k to build a westie.
I'd advise going to a kit car show and having a look about and talk to people there.
If you like your bimmers, there's a bloke doing bmw based LSIS (you'll egt used to that acronym! Lotus Seven Inspired Sportscar) It uses the beemers brakes, engine, box and loom. It even has the diagnostic port in use so can be serviced at a BMW dealer
I can't remember his company name or find it on google, but I have a mag in my locker with an advert in.
The MK's are good, but not as well designed and thought out as the MNR's
Robin Hoods; steer clear unless you have the time of a retired bloke.
what about one of these
